At the heart of CheckMate Analysis is the SoftFit Best 3D Fitting engine. SoftFit helps to quickly solve shape related prototyping and manufacturing process problems, some of which are summarized below:

1. Its taking too long to get first article buy off
2. We think there is something wrong with the datums but we really don't know
3. When we make an alignment error, we waste CMM time re-measuring
4. We spent a lot of time shimming and re-measuring to get better results
5. If we knew how to do it we could just re-label the tooling balls instead of re-machining the tool
6. We think we are rejecting good parts because of bad datums but we have no way of quickly verifying this
7. We have no fast way to assess whether there is sufficient material for the machining process to produce a good part
8. We have no information to help us adjust the machining origin to guarantee a good part
9. It is taking days to position the locating pins to balance core and cavity
