Today we're excited to announce that EA will use the new EA SPORTS IGNITE engine to bring Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, NBA Live 14, and EA SPORTS UFC to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Additionally, DICE announced today that Battlefield 4 will showcase the full power of Frostbite 3 on both next generation platforms this coming holiday. These EA titles join a next generation lineup of games on both systems that include Remedy's Quantum Break, Sucker Punch's Infamous: Second Son, and Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.
We're looking forward to bringing these games and more to the just-announced Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. These systems mark the official beginning of a new console generation, and we here at Origin couldn’t be more excited. While EA has had great games like Battlefield 3 or the Mass Effect Trilogy on the current generation of consoles, it's exhilarating to finally see some brand new hardware after eight years. Earlier this year we got to see some of the PS4's new features like the ability to play games while they're downloading, the SHARE button that will let you easily share live gameplay via built-in streaming, (finally!) concave analog sticks for the DualShock4, and more. From today's Microsoft announcement, major standout features of the Xbox One include complete integration with live TV, a more accurate Kinect for a more intuitive interface, a (again, finally!) redesigned D-pad on the controller, and more. And we're happy to be creating great game experiences that take advantage of the upcoming hardware.
