Trailers Released During Gamescom 2014 You Need to Watch

This year's Gamescom video games conference in Cologne, Germany delivered a huge number of game trailers. Only a select few stood out as must-see moments that will have you excited for the future of gaming.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor. Blizzard is still one of the best when it comes to cinematic trailers. Those of you familiar with WoW’s lore will know that Gul’dan is right: This isn’t the way things went originally, leaving us with a huge question that will only be answered when this expansion comes out.

Alien Isolation. Forget all those other Alien games; the real experience is in this trailer. You can’t fight, you can’t hide, and you can barely run away. Does this terrifying vision make you want to play, or are you already saying Game Over, man? [Ed.: That's Aliens, but we'll let it slide...]

Titanfall: Free the Frontier. In direct contrast to Alien: Isolation, this trailer shows you just how powerful being a Pilot will make you feel. Who wouldn’t want a Titan following them around, being their big buddy?

Far Cry 4. Games have never looked as breathtakingly beautiful as they do these days, and this trailer shows off some incredible art design. The “Roof of the World” setting of Nepal is truly different, and has us very excited to jump into our wingsuit and go exploring.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. There’s a lot going on in this storyline, and a great deal of passion. These Lord of the Rings spin-off games can sometimes feel like rote hack ‘n’ slashers, but something about the dynamism of these scenes tells us this one’s going to be a hit.

Madden NFL 15. Think Madden is just another football game? When you watch the epic hype that fuels this trailer you will want to play it, even if you’re not a sports fan. Trust us; no one can resist this challenge.
