By far one of the most popular expansions for The Sims 2 was The Sims 2 Seasons—pretty much every time an expansion for The Sims 3 has been unveiled, fans would cry out, “but what about a new version of Seasons!?” So of course EA and The Sims team have been listening to said fans, and that leads us to next week’s release of The Sims 3 Seasons, featuring brand new weather simulation and more. Like in The Sims 2 Seasons, this installment will let you experience (and manipulate) spring, summer, fall, and winter in your Sims’ world. You can (finally) swim in the ocean during summer, go trick-or-treating in the fall, or have your Sims show off some freestyle snowboarding moves on the halfpipe.
Speaking of snowboarding moves, up until now, the Sims team has been a bit coy in showcasing what happens when winter comes to The Sims 3. Tomorrow, we’ll be hosting The Sims 3 Seasons Live Broadcast, where the developers will be offering a never-before-seen demo focused on winter and its many activities, as well as answer any questions you have during a live Q&A. And if you picked up on the teaser for The Sims 3 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff pack during our Maxis Live Broadcast, then you might see a little more about what new fashions and furnishings you can get when that Pack becomes available.
Be sure to check out the chat tomorrow at 10:00am Pacific to see The Sims 3 Seasons and more.
