On September 2nd, the brand new chapter in The Sims franchise begins with the launch of The Sims 4, and those who pre-order now will be able to begin their new stories the second the game launches with pre-load on Origin. Pre-load will ensure you're in the game first, as soon as The Sims 4 launches.
Pre-ordering before release will enable you to download all the necessary files for The Sims 4 at least 24 hours before the release date. It isn’t ready just yet, but when pre-load is available in your area you can begin downloading the game by clicking on The Sims 4 tile in your Origin Game Library. Once your pre-load is completed, you're ready to start playing The Sims 4 as soon as it launches.
If you’ve pre-ordered the game on Origin, make sure your software is up to date by launching Origin and logging in. The software will check to see if you’re running the latest version, and if not, it will download and install it automatically. You can check when pre-load begins in your region by hovering your mouse cursor over the game tile for The Sims 4 in your Game Library.
If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe Edition is the best way to start your new stories. This edition includes tons of bonus content including Up All Night and Life of the Party content, as well as the digital soundtrack and plenty more.
The Sims 4 is the next generation of Maxis’ life simulation, and introduces smarter personalities and easier-to-use creation tools. If you haven’t already done so, you can sample these new tools in the free The Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo, which allows you to begin crafting the characters you’ll control in the full experience before the game comes out. You can also check out Sims other gamers have made in the Gallery, which is already filled with fun and interesting characters you can add to your neighborhood with the click of a button once The Sims 4 releases next week.
