The Origin Insider is your guide around the EA HQ campus at Redwood Shores. We spoke with Community Relation Coordinator Daria Dulan and Senior QA Project Manager for Visceral Games Chase Swanson and talked to them about their favorite places on campus.
We asked Daria to remember her first time on Campus. “I remember the main lobby; it was incredible. I couldn’t believe I was coming here for an interview. The presentation of the lobby is beautiful and it seemed surreal that this was a place of work, how cool!” Chase recalls, “The realization that it was indeed a campus. I came from EALA, which is much smaller by comparison. The Redwood Shores campus is its own living, breathing microcosm”.
When talking about the campus as a whole, Daria tells Origin, “My favorite place to eat lunch is on the picnic tables of the patios by buildings 207 and 209. There is privacy, but still an ability to be in the open space; it reminds me of a college courtyard.” Chase notes that his favorite place on campus to think is The Labyrinth.
Where you would you take your parents if you could take them on a tour of the EAHQ? “I have already done it, and the first place I took them to was the Great Lawn. It’s the best place to take in the view and get a real appreciation of the size and scope of what the campus is.” Daria adds, “I would be sure to bring them to the Atrium, the Game Room, Club EA, the Playtest Lab, the Media Lab and of course, the EA Experience.”
The Halls of EA is a look at the people, places, and artifacts that define EA history.
